The World of Knowledge program (WOK) was developed to help teach children in the Philippines located in rural areas. The program raises funds to provide text books and teaching aids for these children. It also provides much needed immunizations when necessary.
Teachers are local community based and are sent to school to become qualified when necessary. Children are encouraged to study not only the basics of math, science and history, but also world cultures and beliefs.Teachers are paid on a subsistence allowance to ensure their health and well being.
